Privacy Policy
Last Updated: August 15, 2026
Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how Lattecodelabs collects, uses, and discloses information across our iOS apps and this website. It applies to every app we publish, unless an app links to a policy of its own, in which case that policy governs.
Information We Collect
User-Provided Information: Our apps do not require an account. We do not collect your name, email address, contacts, precise location, or the contents of your identifications for our own use. We do collect pseudonymous usage and diagnostic data, described under Analytics and Crash Reporting below.
Photos and Image Data
Apps that identify items from photos process the images you explicitly choose from your camera or photo library. Those images are sent to a third-party AI provider for processing and are not stored after the result is returned. We do not perform facial recognition or build biometric profiles.
Where an app shows live marketplace prices for an identified item, that same image is also sent to an image-search service that queries the eBay Browse API, so that visually similar listings can be found. Only the image and the item's title are sent; no account, email address or device identifier accompanies it, and the listings that come back are cached on your device. Nothing is sent unless you open the marketplace section of a result.
Audio Data
Apps that record or transform audio ask for microphone access first, and process that audio entirely on your device. Audio is not uploaded to us or to any third party, and it never leaves your device. You can revoke microphone access at any time in your device's system settings.
Notifications
Apps that remind you about something you have entered — an upcoming renewal, for example — ask permission to send notifications. Notifications are generated on your device from the records you entered; we do not send them and we do not see them. You can manage or deny this permission at any time in your device's system settings.
Data Stored on Your Device
Records you enter and any history an app saves — tracked items, past results, settings — are stored locally on your device, not on our servers. You can delete them in the app, or by deleting the app.
Where an app offers iCloud sync, that data is also stored in iCloud through Apple's CloudKit service, in a private database tied to your Apple Account that only you can access. We have no access to it. You can stop syncing in the app's settings, and remove what is already there by deleting the app from all your devices and then, in the Settings app, opening [your name] → iCloud → Storage and deleting the app's data. If the app is not listed there, nothing is stored.
Data Retention
We do not store user prompts or personal information. Analytics and crash data are retained by Google for up to 14 months. General usage data may be retained only as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this policy.
Analytics and Crash Reporting
We use Google Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics to understand how our apps are used and to diagnose crashes. These services collect a pseudonymous app-instance identifier, the Identifier for Vendors (IDFV), device model, operating system version, country, the names of in-app actions you take (for example, starting a scan or opening the subscription screen), and crash diagnostics.
This information is not linked to your name, email address, or any account, and it is not used for advertising or to track you across other companies' apps or websites. We do not collect the Advertising Identifier (IDFA), we do not display ads, and ad personalization is disabled. See Google's privacy policy for how Google handles this data.
Where an app provides this control, you can turn analytics and crash reporting off at any time under Settings → Share Usage Data. Turning it off stops both analytics and crash reporting; the rest of the app continues to work normally.
This website uses Google Analytics and a privacy-friendly page-view counter to measure traffic. Neither is used to build advertising profiles.
Information Sharing
We do not sell, trade, or share your personal information with third parties. Data is shared only with the service providers described in this policy — our AI processing provider, our marketplace image-search provider, Google Firebase, and Apple — and only to the extent needed to operate the service.
Your Choices and Rights
Because our apps do not use accounts, there is no profile to sign in to or export. You can stop all collection by disabling analytics where an app offers the control, or by deleting the app. To ask what pseudonymous data is associated with your device, or to request its deletion, contact us at the address below.
Use of Third-Party AI Services
Features that identify, describe, or measure items from a photo are powered by a third-party AI service provider, such as OpenAI or other similar providers. When you submit images or related queries, that data is processed through these external AI services, and we do not control how they process or store it. Please review the privacy policy of the respective provider to understand how your data is handled. Features that run entirely on your device, such as audio processing, do not involve any external provider.
In-App Purchases
We use Apple's StoreKit framework to manage in-app purchases. Your purchase data is processed through Apple's secure payment system in accordance with Apple's privacy policies and terms of service. We never receive or store your payment card details.
Sharing Usage Data with Apple
By using our apps and making in-app purchases, you agree that we may share your usage and content consumption data with Apple for the purpose of handling refund requests. This includes how you accessed or interacted with purchased features. This data is shared strictly in accordance with Apple's policies and only as necessary to support refund decisions.
Security
We take appropriate and reasonable security measures to protect any data we collect. No method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children's Privacy
Our apps are not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If we learn that we have collected such information, we will delete it.
Changes to This Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes within the app or on our website, and the date above will be revised.
