Acceptance of Terms
By using the Scale for Grams app, you agree to these Terms of Service and agree to be legally bound by them.
In-App Purchases
To access unlimited weight estimations and premium features, users must purchase a premium subscription through Apple's App Store.
a. Subscription Options:
- $4.99 USD per week: Grants premium access for one week. Subscription renews automatically at the same price.
- $24.99 USD per year: Grants premium access for one year. Subscription renews automatically at the same price.
Premium users are entitled to unlimited weight estimations, subject to fair usage policies. To maintain service quality for all users, we may apply rate limits in cases of unusually high usage. These limits are generous and should not affect typical user behavior.
b. Pricing Changes:
We reserve the right to modify pricing, subscription terms, or associated benefits at any time. Changes will be communicated through the app or our website. All purchases are processed through Apple's secure payment system and are subject to Apple's terms of service.
Usage Limitations
a. Service Limitations:
We reserve the right to limit the number of weight estimations available to free users and may modify or discontinue our services at any time.
b. Important Disclaimer:
Scale for Grams is intended for approximate weight estimations only and should not be used as a replacement for professional-grade scales. The app uses artificial intelligence to estimate weight from images, and these estimations may not be accurate for all items or use cases. Users should not rely on the app for applications requiring precise measurements, including but not limited to: medical dosing, commercial transactions, jewelry appraisal, laboratory work, shipping/postage, cooking/baking measurements, or any application where accuracy is critical. For precise measurements, always use a calibrated, professional-grade scale.
Intellectual Property
a. Ownership:
All content within the Scale for Grams app—including text, images, and code—is the intellectual property of LatteCodelabs team and is protected by copyright and applicable laws.
b. Usage Restrictions:
You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reproduce any part of the app without prior written permission.
Use of Third-Party AI Services
Our weight estimation feature is powered by third-party AI service providers, such as OpenAI or similar providers. When you upload images for weight estimation, these images are transmitted to and processed by these external AI services. While we aim to deliver accurate results, we are not responsible for any errors, inaccuracies, service interruptions, or decisions made based on estimations provided by these external services. Measurement accuracy depends on various factors including image quality, lighting conditions, object positioning, and AI model capabilities.
Privacy
Use of the app is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which outlines how your data is collected, processed, and protected.
Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the app at any time and for any reason, including breach of these Terms.
Disclaimer of Warranty
This app is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind—express or implied—including but not limited to accuracy, reliability, or availability.
Limitation of Liability
a. General Limitation:
We are not liable for any loss or damage resulting from your use of the app.
b. Indemnification:
By using Scale for Grams, you agree to hold harmless LatteCodelabs team, along with any associated employees, affiliates, and partners, from any claims, liabilities, or expenses resulting from your use of the app or decisions made based on its output.
